John Godber Centre identity and messaging
Monkie were asked to create a refreshed identity for a local, church-run community centre and wedding reception venue. The brief’s main focus was to better place the John Godber offer, to more effectively compete with numerous competitors in the same town and create a contemporary personality with traditional overtones.
The centre provides a valuable resource for the whole community and it was also critical that church stewardship didn’t alienate or confuse the widest possible audience.
A vibrant, energetic abstraction of celebration, community spirit and positivity is encapsulated in a colourful collection of ribbon-like swirls, with contemporary typography and sympathetic colours and imagery.
The next stage of development is to develop the identity and develop supporting brand messages and marketing materials. A new website will be one of the first marketing outputs to feature both new brand and messaging – watch this space…
