Monkie have completed an unusual piece of interpretive design – the story of Caerphiily castle and Edward II’s favourite advisor, Hugh le Despenser. The story is one of cruelty and exile, illustrated with graphic depictions of the time and interpreted in both Welsh and English, with a colour coded timeline story.

It is printed on fabric and used as a tablecloth decoration, encouraging the reader to move around the enormous table on which it sits, taking in the macabre events of the early 14th century.
