‘Creatively stimulating’ and ‘The Sun’ are not words usually found in the same sentence , but we came across this outstanding piece of print work by design group Service Plan, and just had to share it.
We’ve seen lots of clever print techniques over the years, red reveals, metallic colours and even ‘printed’ odours (imagine the horrible possibilities), but rarely have we seen one used with such relevance and beauty.
A solar energy company engaged a clever creative team to deliver this standout annual report. Annual report projects needn’t be a dull document collating a company’s financial activity and this example is proof of that. The pages come alive by exposure to the sun, echoing the product output of the business. It’s rare to see the medium itself delivering content but this simple marriage works amazingly well. It’s also unusual to have the opportunity of putting print technology developments to a creative and practical use. This project does all of these things and we’re very impressed.
See what you think…
